Tark Again Caught with Pants on the Ground

Monday, March 29th, 2010

(Chuck Muth) – I don’t know how much Republican U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian is paying his high-priced out-of-state California political hack and his high-priced out-of-state Florida political hack, but it’s wasn’t enough to help him extract his foot from his mouth after securely wedging it in there again last week.

FEC Complaint Filed Agaisnt Tarkanian’s New TV Commercials

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

For a lawyer who won a slander suit just last summer, you’d think Republican U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian and his experienced team of political operatives would know how to produce a campaign television commercial that complies with the law.

You’d think wrong.

Danny’s NRA “F”

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

For those who still don’t believe Danny Tarkanian received an “F” from the National Rifle Association in his failed 2006 race against Ross Miller for Secretary of State, this picture ought to be worth a thousand words.

This Guy Just Can’t Tell the Truth

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Alan Stock hosted a U.S. Senate candidate “joint appearance” this morning between The Man of a Thousand Talking points vs. The Conservative Who Can Win. Elizabeth Crum of the Nevada News Bureau has a pretty good summation of the to-and-fro HERE

Here’s the best part – “best” meaning worst for Danny and his incredibly shrinking credibility.

Stock asked Danny about Danny calling Sue Lowden a socialist. Here’s how Danny responded: “I am not aware of that, I think that’s wrong. There is no socialism word in there. You are wrong on that, I guarantee you.”

Guar-an-tee.

But click on the link embedded in Crum’s post and you’ll hear Danny Tarkanian his own self say at the end of the robo-call: “(Sue Lowden) and the Republican establishment defended the Wall Street bailouts. That’s not freedom. Let’s call it what it is: socialism.”

Socialism. So much for Danny’s guarantee. The guy just can’t tell the truth.

Tiny Tark’s Temper-Tantrum

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

At the end of Wednesday’s “joint appearance” between Republican U.S. Senate candidates Danny Tarkanian and Sue Lowden, Lowden hit Danny pretty good for his propensity to blame others for things his campaign does and has done – from Scott Brown to Dan Burdish to yours truly.

Danny desperately wanted to respond but (1) the show was out of time and (2) host Alan Stock explained that since Danny chose to have the first word at the beginning of the show, Sue got to have the last word.

From what I’ve heard, Danny threw a veritable temper-tantrum after the show, complaining to Stock about being “unfair.” Despite the fact that Danny clearly had been allowed more speaking time during the program than Sue, he nevertheless had a hissy fit in the hallway over not being given the last word and also complained about Stock asking him about the negative attacks his campaign has been leveling at Lowden over the past few weeks.

Would you like some cheese with that whine, Danny?

Unfortunately, this is not the first time we’ve heard reports about Danny whining about media treatment….and a rather unpleasant picture of his personality is starting to take shape – that of a spoiled kid whose had everything handed to him on a silver platter thanks to his famous father. He’s just not used to not getting his way or people not showing what he feels is the appropriate reverence for his blood line.

Don’t we already have enough prima donnas in the Senate?

Hey, Danny…Man Up and Debate

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian and fellow GOP candidate Sue Lowden appeared on the Alan Stock radio show this morning, and once again Danny complained about me – who he call’s Sue’s “Muthpiece” – for pointing out all the falsehoods and distortions he and his campaign have put about her over recent weeks.

Tell you what, Danny. Since you seem to so desperately want to make me a part of this campaign, how about a debate? You and me. One on one. And let’s see if we can clear up all the confusion and negativity you’ve brought into this race.

That’s right – I’m calling you out, Danny. You’ve been whining and kvetching and blubbering about me in public appearances and campaign emails for weeks now. Fine. But are you man enough to face me in person in a public setting where your falsehoods, distortions and flat out lies will be exposed and documented for all to see?

You know where and how to find me. But I won’t be holding my breath.

Danny’s Dithering Leaves Door Open for Chad

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Chad Christensen today called on “all branches of the Nevada State government to declare the so called ‘healthcare’ plan being considered by the federal government to be unconstitutional, and to do everything within its power to stop its implementation if it is approved.”

Sorry, Chad….you’re too late. Your fellow Republican opponent, Danny Tarkanian, has already taken care of this problem.

The Sons & Fathers Campaign

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian is launching radio ads today featuring former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s father, Chuck Heath, telling Nevadans that Tark is the greatest thing since sliced bread. So what we have here is a candidate whose only real claim to fame is that he’s the son of a famous basketball coach being endorsed by a man whose primary claim to fame is that he’s the father of a famous political figure.
