Fading Fast & Furious

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

“The RJ this morning has the results of a new Mason-Dixon poll,” reports Elizabeth Crum this morning in The Blog. “Lowden beats Reid 52-39% in a head-to-head with Reid and is now up over Tarkanian in the primary 47-29%. In the primary match-up, Angle got 8% and Chachas got 1%.”

Seems Danny’s decision to go negative with distortions and half-truths against his Republican primary opponents has backfired on him big time. He’s now fading faster in the U.S. Senate race than, well, all of his other campaigns. And that’s saying something.

Tark Mushheads Can’t Tell Reality from Satire

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Team Tarkanian was in high dudgeon yesterday afternoon shortly after publication of my tongue-in-cheek dig at their serial campaign distortionings (it’s part of their strategery).

Apparently some Tarkanian supporters are such lost balls in the high weeds that they actually thought this line I wrote about Republican Chad Christensen jumping into the U.S. Senate race was true:

The Big Lie and the Biggest Loser

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

A famous quote often attributed to Nazi war criminal Joseph Goebbels goes like this: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” Or as William James, the father of modern psychology, put it: “There’s nothing so absurd that if you repeat it often enough, people will believe it.”

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the essence of the Tarkanian for Senate campaign.

Mama Tark Not Sure She’d Vote for Son

Monday, February 15th, 2010

The Las Vegas Review-Journal published an extensive story on Reublican U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian on Sunday which paints a somewhat sad picture of Danny’s perennial campaigning and motivation for running for the United States Senate this year.

Birds of a Feather

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

There are now two entities falsely claiming that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sue Lowden supported the TARP bailout in the fall of 2008.

Joining the disingenuous campaign of Lowden opponent Danny Tarkanian in spreading this falsehood: the Nevada Democrat Party, which made the accusation in a press release on Tuesday.

Nice company you’re keeping, Danny.

More About That Harry Reid 11th Amendment Thing

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Not only is Republican U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian sounding an awful lot like Jimmy Carter by misrepresenting his opponents’ views, positions and statements, but he appears to be aspiring to a level of parsing on par with Bill Clinton, as well.

Well, There He Goes Again

Monday, February 8th, 2010

As those of us old enough to remember will recall, when then-President Jimmy Carter tried to misrepresent Ronald Reagan’s position on Medicare during their 1980 presidential debate, Reagan responded, “There you go again.”

Considering how many times Republican U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian has misrepresented fellow GOP opponent Sue Lowden’s record and positions on issues, one would be excused for thinking he’s trying run his campaign like Jimmy Carter despite his web-video touting himself as the second coming of Ronald Reagan.
